50 quid yeah maybe it is a great game but pfffft no thanks
Well, I saw this coming rather quick. Another could be great game dropped. Ah well, maybe next time EA.
50 quid yeah maybe it is a great game but pfffft no thanks
You can easily find the game for under £50. Try looking.
Well, I saw this coming rather quick. Another could be great game dropped. I thought they said there would be no season pass?
I thought they said there would be no season pass?
"no plans at this time"
You can get the standard edition for about £30 on g2play. I'm pretty sure I've seen it going cheaper on other websites too.
I thought they said there would be no season pass?
That was a misunderstanding. They meant there would be no online pass for the game.
sadly i bet like half of the maps and half the weapons are dlc smh
Well, I saw this coming rather quick. Another could be great game dropped. Ah well, maybe next time EA.
Cool, have fun wallowing in your unwarranted bitterness whilst the rest of us pilot awesome robots.
You're refusing to buy the game because they have planned extra content for it and are offering a cheaper way to buy them?
I'm refusing to buy the game because it looks boring. Then they tack this crap on? They didn't have a sale in the first place, but I suppose it looks like a game that might be fun for the first week or two of playing. So adding just maps for a 'season' pass is pretty ridiculous. Why not other game modes, with more actual players instead of stat-padding AI that sucks? Why not add more weapons, or different types of mechs? Why not add optimization so the game doesn't take 40gbs or so? even if I was a millionaire, I'd pass on this game. It lacks what makes a game fun, and EA is just being greedy.
You're refusing to buy the game because they have planned extra content for it and are offering a cheaper way to buy them?
Comming from EA I wouldn't trust them until the dlcs are shown. You know, they tend to put a high price to their games and dlcs but I may be wrong.

The Season Pass is what helps bring in support for the game post-release so people continue playing it instead of abandoning it after a couple months. Also there's 15 maps available at launch so that should keep you busy. 2. There are different mechs. 3 announced so far, the Atlas, Stryder and Ogre. 3. The 8v8 gamemodes are made so a competitive E-sports audience can form, almost like an FPS MOBA except with mechs and AI soldiers with guns, which I find really fun and can see being appealing in E-Sports.. 4. There is going to be a HUGE arsenal of weapons on release date, not just the weapons available only in the Beta. 5. PC standards expect you to have at least a minimum 500GB-1TB HDD's already in your comp, so 50GB isn't an issue really worth complaining about. Edit: Seriously, you can get a good 1TB HDD for your comp for around 80$.

Seeing it and playing it first hand are two different things when it comes to Titanfall. They didn't "tack this crap on" Titanfall's base game ships 15 maps 5 game modes, 2 MP campaigns, 30+ weapons, 3 (discovered) Titan variants, ect. Besides the season pass it has been confirmed there will be free DLC. Examples of such free DLC we're expained as Additional Gamemodes, weapons, customization.
Why not other game modes, with more actual players instead of stat-padding AI that sucks?
If you actually played the game you would soon learn 12 players in limit Titanfall is due to balancing, once everyone has a Titan it's crazy! Adding more players to Arena shooter would destory the balance, and Respawn spent a good deal of time messing with player size in focus tests. Titanfall ships with 5 gamemodes, more gamemodes to come for free in future updates. The entire point of the AI is the give the illusion of a large scale conflict in a arena sized setting. They aren't the primary focus of the game and shouldn't be treated as such. Why not do research on the game instead of baselessly bashing it.
Why not add optimization so the game doesn't take 40gbs or so?
Titanfall is not 40gb's or so, that's the required space on disc to digitally download the installer cache, then installer extracts the content, installer cache then deletes itself upon completion of install.
It lacks what makes a game fun, and EA is just being greedy.
You're more than entitled to your own opinion to Titanfall, I could be wrong, but it doesn't sound like you played the game. Why don't you find this game fun? Just curious. EA is just being greedy? Respawn Entertaintment is a privately held company who owns the Titanfall IP. Which EA is the publisher and certainty has influence in pricing, DLC was going to be charged content either way. The Season pass gives you all paid content in a discounted package deal. EA didn't invent the Season pass, and the season pass saves you money if you we're planning to invest in the content. [editline]5th March 2014[/editline]
You're refusing to buy the game because they have planned extra content for it and are offering a cheaper way to buy them?
Allegedly, he has a hard on for hating everything with an EA logo on it.
25$ season pass sounds OK to me. It doesn't make sense to have a season pass that's almost the same price as the game. I'll still wait for a sale on titanfall though. Maybe not a 60$ game but definitely 40 or 30.
So $25 for the pass or $30 total for the DLC, compared to most those are both relatively low priced, although considering how little you save it doesn't seem worth it to preorder the DLC.
I'm going to wait to see how big the DLC packs are before I pick up season pass. If I'm getting a ton of maps per pack I'm definitely on board.
Well, I saw this coming rather quick. Another could be great game dropped. Ah well, maybe next time EA.
Are you joking? Like holy fuck this needs to be a joke. People shouldn't be this dumb. Please tell me people shouldn't be this dumb oh god
You can easily find the game for under £50. Try looking. You're refusing to buy the game because they have planned extra content for it and are offering a cheaper way to buy them?
The reason why people are judgy, is that it's coming from EA who are greedy fucks nonetheless, who charges 20 dollars for 6 maps, a few weapons, and other packs that just only deserve 10 bucks... Did nobody see the fact that game literally comes with 15 maps, and there's going to be free content in addition to the payed DLC (Which is something that is pretty much standard for every current multiplat release in existence unless its indie)
I thought they said there would be no season pass?
They said there would be no online pass, like BF3
