As you can see, my temperatures are pretty high.

This is normal for my Laptop's chassis (Optimus V) but still worrying. However i'm confused as to why speedfan and HWMonitor show different results. Which one should I trust?
Incase anyone is wondering, I'm running Agisoft Photoscan and that's why everything is under extreme load.

Don't ask me why my GPU temps don't show because I don't know. All I know is that sometimes they do and sometimes they don't.
Do you have on of those cooling pad things for your laptop because having a CPU running at 80c and up is not very good for it and will decrease it's lifespan if it's kept at that temperature for a long time.

Depends on the CPU. Laptop ones tend to have a much higher tolerance than desktop ones.

but yeah, that's a bit hot. I'd check for dust and probably change the thermal paste while at it.
Wouldn't opening the laptop up void his warranty though? In the very least you should use a compressed air duster or a dust vac to clean it out from the outside.

Depends on the manufacturer.

Sometimes canned air makes it worse and jams the fan with lumps of dust and other crap.
Most laptops nowadays don't have warranty stickers. Only asus and lenovo really.
Yes I'm using a cooling pad. It's clean, no dust. No warranty sticker. PCSpecialist built. Don't really fance reapplying theermal paste. CPU is documented to shut doww at 105c.
While under load, does not exceed 98c. My friend who has the same model apparently ran this for nearly a week straight and his still performs better than mine.

It's about the dust inside the fan. The fan spins inside a metal cooling rib contraption. Usually you see a thick film of dust build up inside the cooling rib contraption on the side of the fan.

Cleaning the fan with compressed air and using some q tips should work fine.

You're going to have to reapply the thermal paste at some point to make it not throttle like a bitch.

You can't clean a fan with ear buds without opening it up.
