So basically I was just surfing and noticed my internet connection was rather slow, I checked out the other computers (we use a router) and they seem to have a normal fast connection. Does anybody know why this is happening?
Tried that, slows down again after a few minutes.
Wired.
have you tried with another cable?
Yes, didn't work, still slow.

Also check your proxy settings, make sure you aren't using a VPN or a proxy.
Finally, your computer might just be updating (Windows Automatic Updates, etc.)
:ninja:
I know this sounds silly, but perhaps your router or PC isn't properly set up?
Heres a few tests you can run:
1] DSL Reports Tweak Tester (May require a small application for tuning on the PC. Works on XP not sure about Vista & 7)
2] If you have a lot of applications requiring a lot of bandwidth running in the background, for example; You have your torrent application seeding a few linux distributions and you try going to your favorite website, facepunch, where it loads slow. You'll have to find an application to open up more half-open ports. Also a XP trick, but might work with 7.
Anyone else? Downloading is a bitch when you're going 5-10 kbps.
Start up in safe mode with networking. Still slow?
Bump. I replaced the network card and tried safe mode, still nothing. I suspect something is either hijacking my connection or limiting it.
Okay. if that's the case, try changing your MAC address.
