The video does make the game look good, but I was surprised how good it looked on PS3. I own it on PC from a sale, but haven't touched it. I'm going to guess SSS is not in the PC version.
While technically superior, Lara's remodeled face is a stylistic downgrade, in my opinion. She looks more generic and "cute". Like a barbie doll or something, maybe. It's hard to say exactly what it is, but there is a subtle pain in the original's eyes that didn't get translated over. They nailed it the first time, they didn't need to remodel/rig/animate a new face. Also, the SSS skin looks a bit too red for the environment.

The new face looks like a template head you'd get in some 3d modelling program with fancy hair slapped on it.
That Scot Amos guy has a tiny mouth.
