• how do lag switches work?

i was playing mw2 yesterday, and some asshat was using a lag switch. i dont really understand how a single person that isnt the host can lag EVERYONE else. how does it work? and im not requesting hacks, so dont post any.

no.... really? i meant how does it affect them positively if there the only ones lagging. ive seen ones that ONLY effect everyone else, and allowing you to get pot-shots always. it not only fucking pisses me off, but i wanted to know how it works 'cause im curious like that.

So whatever happens on his screen happens in the game; So if he flips the "lag switch" you disconnect, and try to re-connect. This is shown on his screen, as you standing still.
