Full quote:
I did discuss this with the dev team and everyone here is well aware of the amazing stuff the community could come up with given the tools. Unfortunately, however, this isn't possible as part of this release in particular. I'm sorry to disappoint you on this... I know we would have loved to see what you could come up with!
To be fair, they did flat out state that UFG doesn't support modding, but that was in 2012. Hopefully they'll change their tune, but for now we have to rely on unofficial tools. Too bad they're all unfinished and abandoned.
Is the "natively running at 1080p" aimed at the console versions?

SD is severely overlooked. It's one of the best sandbox games of the last generation. It had some of the greatest fighting scenes/memorable moments I had playing a game, Especially the last mission which is essentially Die Hard 1. It's visuals were really beautiful too. Like the night lighting and the rain is still something that's to be rivaled in my opinion. It's DLC was actually worth it too. The Zodiac Tournament remains one of my favourite expansions ever seeing as it was literally just Enter The Dragon: The Game.
If Sleeping Dogs had full mod support it'd beat GTA in every way imo
Time to replay Sleeping Dogs
I don't think we'll be seeing much of a difference on PC; the model, texture and lighting works were already fantastic.
the model, texture and lighting works were already fantastic.
Only buildings and main characters are. Everything else is incredibly low poly and uses nasty, blurry 512x512 textures. [t]http://puu.sh/95igV.jpg[/t] But that's the genius of it, you'd normally never notice since 98% of the game is seen from a floating angle. [t]http://puu.sh/95iiO.jpg[/t] But still, even a simple upres goes a long way.
