i have one of these, dont get one. the mic is a piece of shit (its a headset mic what do you expect) and the usb sound board is dodgy and will die on you eventually.

What about Cloud I?

I have Cloud I, they're pretty decent, most people i've spoken to said the first is the better

This.
Mine was getting random static after a year, replaced the usb sound board with a new one. Few weeks later, that one broke too.
Odd, I've had mine for a little over a year and never had issues.

are you FUCKING SERIOUS
I thought I did my research on these and there were tons of good reviews and it turns out to be garbage
I literally bought it like two or three weeks ago too
EDIT: I think the mic's okay personally though
idk why the 3.5mm jack won't work when I plug it in directly so here's hoping the fucking USB sound board works
I had Razer Kraken headphones but they eventually stopped working, no headset I've had has lasted more than a year or two :(

if you don't want to have issues, use the clip on the sound board to clip it to your shirt, make sure the cables never run on the floor, and be very gentle when unplugging the headset from the soundboard.
it can last a long time, its just really fragile. the mic isn't the worst headset mic but its still not great.
I've had no problems out of mine but the mic is average.
If you're looking for something better then it's just best to buy a pair of Headphones and mic separate.

really tbh why I just avoid headsets
This thing is decent I'd you're skimping out on accessories but I wouldn't recommend it. The ear pads are also oval rather than circular if that's a feature or issue.

Yeah I went through 3 headsets in the course of 2 years. Meanwhile my HD 598's I got in 2015 are still working perfectly (along with a desktop mic I got last year)
I used to have a pair of Razer Kraken's that lasted a good 3 years and are still in excellent shape, though I can't recommend them - the sound from the headphones bleeds into the microphone and people can hear your gaming sounds. They are also quite bulky and heavy and hurt my ears after a long gaming session.
I bought some Sennheiser HD 25-1 IIs and use my desktop microphone (10+ years old with a physical on/off switch). I recommend a similar setup - good headphones and separate mic - over a gaming headset.

I had this happen to me randomly after owning it a few months but I just downloaded the new firmware they released for the sound card and it fixed it.
I've had a cloud I for a while now and it's legit one of the best headsets I've used. Shame this one sucks apparently
