I'll wait till it's on sale probably, but I am interested in it.
The main characters face really needs some work though.
That better not be Narsil
Sweet jesus don't be Narsil.
what an incredibly generic name for a videogame
Cant believe that in Middle Earth you have one of the most amazing, expansive fantasy worlds you could possibly think of yet every game based upon it turns out to be utterly shit.
LOTRO had the most potential I guess but that is woeful as well.
Someone needs to go about making the whole of middle earth, long before the Hobbit
Plan out a 5 -10 continuous update where the world is constantly developed into the one we know in Lord Of the Rings.
Who wouldnt want to be part of that, fucking epic.
Jesus, would love to be a Gondorian who has set up a sword shop in the middle of Gondor. Jesus that would be amazing.
The last bit of the trailer seems to give off bit of a Space Marine vibe with the whole one man against lots of orcs scene, and not in a good way.

Did you even play Battle For Middle Earth?
I, for one, cannot fucking wait. Everything about this excites me more than most upcoming titles.

Imagine Skyrim but with LotR license. Make the map all of Middle-Earth and bam, game of the year all years but noooo lets make shit games for dirty casuals.
This game looks ok though, will most likely buy!
I really hate the art style of this game.

That would be an amazing start! Would prefer some sort of multiplayer where players govern the world but is influenced by actual evens that took place but yeah.
Its strange how the Skyrim styled open world has not been developed for ME yet.
There was a team making a mod (MERP) for Skyrim recreating Middle Earth, they got a cease and dissist from the Tolkien though, apparently his family are a bit dickish.

Of course, one of the main games of my childhood.
Loved 2v4 Helms Deep online, amazing.
Middle Earth has so so so much more to offer than a simple RTS game though.
Well I loved LOTR: Conquest on PS3...

Also, I was fairly hyped for this back when the first trailer was aired: basically Assassins Creed but interesting (assuming they go back to boring samey-ness after AC4).

Third Age: Total War mod for Medieval 2 and the Battle For Middle Earth games beg to differ.
I want a lotr game that's like Skyrim mixed with Battle for Middle Earth. You'd play as Sauron and take over shit.

mang, LOTRO is p. decent for an RP centric mmo
then you have LOTR Conquest, BFME and BFME2, War of the Ring, the 3rd person action games we're pretty damn fun (the ones based on the movies), LOTR War in the North is actually far better than i expected too. Lego LOTR is always a good play too.
i cant think of one really -bad- LOTR game tbh

I really enjoyed The Third Age among with all the rest, was pretty good.

I like the final battle where your party fight the fucking eye of sauron on the tower itself

Personally LOTRO doesnt hold up with me. The engine isnt good enough to really show the beauty of middle earth. In terms of graphics, id want something better than ESO.
Also just found the game really generic when I got on it, granted I didnt play it for long but for the short time I was on there I didnt really feel like I was in Middle Earth all that much.
Another problem I have with that is the limited amount of things you can actually do/manipulate. You cant really make yourself relevant in it.
Must say I have never tried Conquest or WOTN but have never really heard anything good about them before.
It'd be great in an article about an announced release date to have the date actually in it, preferably in a spot where it's easy to see
You'd think gaming outlets would get that by now

they're both really underrated gems tbh
Conquest is LOTR Battlefront 2 and WOTN is Dragon Age: Middle Earth
