That trailer was pretty well done.
Did the singer also make the song that plays on the absolut commercials?
"You can think of any way to get around the environment and you can use that way. If it looks like it’s realistic for you to go there.”
So, does that mean that there's not just one path but a few of them, rather than actual openworld?
I can see where he's coming from after playing Act 2 of Dead Island, when you get to the city. And speaking of lazy, here's to journos deciding that everything is Skyrim, in an article about a developer's griping about being offhandedly compared to another game no less.
So we've confirmed that Techland are excellent at making CG rendered ads.

Ashamed to say I can't remember the name of them, but they did a talk at the UK Bradford Animation Festival a couple of years ago. Everybody should be hiring them, whoever they are.
Most companies have other companies make their CGI trailers.

My first few hours of the game were spent wondering what happened to the deep and tragic struggle of the trailer. It wasn't until I came back a year later without any expectations that I was actually able to enjoy myself for a bit (but never for long enough to beat the game). As for Mirror's Edge, well... Whatever. The first game had a cool art style and some neat gameplay mechanics, but suffered very badly from poor level design, terrible writing, awful voice acting, and clunky handling. I'd probably pick up the second title on sale to give it a shot, because it has the potential to be a very cool sort of game, but it's nothing I'm particularly looking forward to. That goes double for Dying Light. I just couldn't be more underwhelmed by the prospect of taking two mediocre games and combining them.
the bell at the beginning of the trailer sounded really familiar and I was trying really hard to figure it out, then when the music hit I was all smiles. Ever since I first heard that song I wanted to see some sort of free running or just really energetic chase scene, I'd usually imagine some huge thing where the cops or some hired thugs are chasing a guy through my city, with different stages in the song being at different places like through the huge train yards or over bridges mid town, hopping on a ferry from riverside to cross places or and dashing through alleys this really did it justice like BDA says, whether the game does the trailer justice or not we'll see. At least it was more specific, obviously the whole point is freerunning, but they also hinted at neat craftable weapon upgrades

Also, I'm definitely going to hold off on buying this until after I see a few reviews from consumers. I was very happy I didn't buy riptide because it was just a glorified DLC, and Dead Island in general just wasn't executed correctly. I hope it turns out the way it should, though, it has a lot of potential.

Also Assassin's Creed is just third person Mirror's Edge.
I bet it will have the horrible microstuttering that Dead Island had.
Techland can sure make a trailer, that's certain. Hope the game is actually beyond mediocre at best.
