• PSN account rendered useless

I'm too lazy to retype the situation so instead I'll quote what I emailed the PSN forums.
This is quite a problem I have. See, my email registered with the account, "____________" has been inactive for a while, with me not seeing any purpose for using it other than to register a PSN account. Due to this inactivity, Windows Live saw fit to delete my email account. This was all before the firmware update regarding password changes after the PSN was down. For this reason I cannot change my password to my PSN account as my email is non-existent. If there is a way to change the email my PSN account uses that would be greatly appreciated, thanks.
If you still don't understand, basically the email I used to register my PSN account was deleted, and the firmware update that took effect after the PSN outage needed you to access your email for a confirmation link. It's virtually impossible to go online with the account now. It's also impossible to recreate the email because the domain was "live.com" which was possible in the past but isn't anymore. If anyone could help me that would be greatly appreciated.
