Specs; 2gb ram vista home premium am2 3800+ duo core processor nvidia geforce 6150 se Well, here is my mobo: I have a free PCI-E x16 slot free, but I see some cards are pci-e x16 2.0, what's the difference and are they interchangeable? I've searched around on newegg and come up with these, first: will they be compatible, and are they a good buy? $75 9600gt that requires PSU connector I can't really find any others that would seem to be a good buy. I'm looking to be able to run HL2 Ep2 and games of the sort with max settings. Also, my price range is $100(us) or lower, thanks. Oh yeah, and here are a few inside pics of my computer (before ram upgrade), does it look like there are free PSU connectors to connect to a graphics card that may require a direct PSU connector? If there aren't then I need a card that won't need to connect to the PSU. Thanks for your help. Tell me if you need any info.
What's your power supply? The pictures aren't loading. Off the top of my head, I'd say to get a 4670.
I'll try reuploading them. Fixed.
Don't reupload them, just hotlink to the images themselves. [editline]07:31PM[/editline] Shit, 250W Bestec? Get a new power supply.
Any way to get around buying a new one? But if i absolutely have to what is a reliable and cheap one? Don't forget, I'm not looking for hardcore gaming, just the ability to say max out hl2 ep2 Just found this 300w PSU from codegen laying around. Would this be a plausible fix? But it has no GPU connectors, so nvm. I guess i'll have to wait, save and do what you said down there v
This Cooler Master should handle whatever you choose to power with it: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817171031 Pick up this Sapphire 4670 for $65: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814102820
Thanks. I'll check the card now. Yeah, the card seems great for that price. Thanks! In the reviews there are people saying it worked with 250w PSU's so I'll give it a whirl with this one and if i need to upgrade I will. Thanks for your help.

Both of those PSU's will explode once you put pressure on them.
Bestec makes egregiously crappy 250W PSUs.
Don't be stupid. Both of those PSU's will explode once you put pressure on them.
Hey, no need for name calling. I'll upgrade then.

I'll do that when I get the parts, thanks for your help.

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814102838 it really won't matter if you get a 4670 or 4650 with that cpu
Yeah really... Get a 7750 Kuma.

I'll stick with the 4670 though for when I do upgrade. edit: Hell, I'm looking at the reviews and people are talking about running fallout 3 max settings with this card. Maybe I might downgrade a little and save. Thanks man.
You don't need a new mobo to get a 7750 or 7850.
