I started using windows 7 a few months ago and it decided to screw up today, every time i boot it up it goes to the repair screen and then blue screens 5 minute later. Then i decided to format my hard drive and try to reinstall windows itself. After a few minutes it finally started to install and 10 minutes later. BAM! blue screen. Any idea whats going on guys? :( Specs (might help) Athlon X2 5200+ 2GB RAM 1TB Hard Drive EAH4670 ASUS M2N MX SE Oh and its Windows 7 Professional x86 Thanks.
Maybe overheating? Check temps with HWmonitor
I don't have any OS installed at the moment. :saddowns: [editline]12:50AM[/editline] But i've checked on the bios and everything is normal on 30 degrees.

He obviously has a bios with a web browser :downs: Could it be faulty hardware that's causing this?
I suggest running Memtest.
Im currently on my ipod and there is another thing called the family computer. Oh while it was on the blue screen it says IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL. Hope that helps.
I had that too, also had an attempt to write read only memory.
Hard drive cable? I've gotten random blue screens from bad HDD cables
Its not the hdd cable, tried swapping the cables but no go
Oh great now the screen wont turn on after i unplugged my video card for cleaning... Great.... D:
I was going to say it could be required SATA/RAID drivers that are needed during install. But now you could have just got it fucked by static :/
What was the stop code in the blue screen?
The gpu still runs but i think this is a memory problem, i will try replacing ram some other time when i can afford new ones.
