blue snowball recognizes as "usb advanced audio device", is incredibly loud

all of a sudden my blue snowball mic has started to register as "usb audio advanced device" instead of "blue snowball", and as a result of this has caused the mic to function in a strange way
1: appears as a speaker

2: has become extremely sensitive. on a volume setting of 5, i get what was previously 50 when it was being picked up as "Blue snowball"
here it is as seen in device manager
(the bottom one)
anyway i have no idea why it has done this and am unsure on what to do to fix it, i have already tried plugging it into various usb ports and uninstalling drivers, but windows is constantly installing them under "usb advanced audio device", even when i tried on it on another computer
any ideas?
There has to be a cause of this to hit the bucket.
I know you tried uninstalling the drivers, but try it again in device manager,
and let Windows handle the microphone, or use the drivers that came with it.
See for yourself which driver is better.
But next time make sure to use a 3.5mm microphone.
I have heard so many issues with USB ones, that it's not healthy.

the blue snowball comes with no drivers, its supposed to be "plug and play"
i have no choice other than to let windows handle the drivers and on every computer i have used it installs it as "usb advanced audio device"
the mic is still somewhat usable, however considering its price i would rather have it fixed than just barely working

To most users they're perfectly fine lol..
Anyways, try contacting Blue and see what they have to say.
Also, I know you already bought it - but I would recommend a Yeti instead. They're really good.
