Well, I've got a bunch of good games that I would really love to play at a better speed, exampli gratia: S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Call of Pripyat, Counter-Strike: Source, Battlefield 2, et cetera. I went to Crucial.com, and because that's where most people I know go to check their RAM. Here's the result:

Here is the RAM that I want to buy:

You can see that they have no return policy, and I'm not exactly getting a steady flow of cash, so $35 is a bit of cash to just throw away if it doesn't work. Will the RAM in the above-shown link work in my laptop?
Yes.
Thanks for the swift reply, but are you sure? I hate to sound like a worried little nanny about it, but you know...
Quite sure, but I would wait for more posts if I were you. Just to be absolutely sure. I know how you feel :ohdear:

I will, mostly because I won't be able to buy it for a few days anyway, although I doubt anyone else will reply.
what laptop do you have?
what laptop do you have?
I'm pretty sure it says it in the picture, but it's a HP Pavilion zv6000; it's 7 years old; pretty antiquated.
Well, then your GFX is probably the problem... The RAM won't help too much if your GFX is shit.

I'm assuming you mean my graphics card; my graphics card works fine. It's a 128MB card; and for any of those games, and the other ones I play, it is good enough. I can play almost any of those games on all high settings, and when I turn down the graphical/post-processing stuff, the performance goes up by 1-3 frames; when I only turn down the texture quality/anisotropy/draw distance I get a major performance boost. I only have 768MB of RAM, which is just barely minimum for most of these games.
Fair enough.
So, do you know enough about the subject to know if it would be compatible or not?
Does anyone else have an opinion?
What is your exact laptop model number? And no one can see shit from the tiny picture.

Yeah, I don't know why FireShot took that small of a picture this time, but I can still see it fine; I don't get how none of you can read it at all.
Is this all you need to know?

No needs to be more specific. What is the model number on the sticker on the bottom of the laptop?

Sorry for the wait, we went to Walmart to get some groceries.
It says:
HP Pavilion zv6000
S/N: CND5350VKF
P/N: PN494AV
Is that what you needed to know?

Does anyone know? I really need to know by like... Tonight.
Sorry, for late answer but, yes, it will work. I would save the money for a new laptop, but seing as it is only 35$ I say alright.

It's okay, the fact that you replied at all is good enough for me. I'm glad you did, because I ordered it anyway, and I would have had such a fucking fit if it didn't work. I'm so tired of not being able to play most any game with the texture/model fidelity up.
You're planning on playing CoP with 2 gigs of RAM and a 128MB gpu?
Yeah I can't see CoP running on the Gpu...
