• Posting heavy goods (Holland->UK)

Hey guys, My mother in Holland has just found some of my old belongings that I thought lost, and I'd really like them back (30-40 valuable Vinyl LPs). Obviously, they're going to be pretty heavy, so the postage could cost a small fortune. Does anyone have any ideas on how to get them from Holland to the UK? I'm actually considering cheap flights on a budget airline, and nipping there and back over a weekend as a cheapest option? Anyone have any experience with this?
Visit your local post office and ask them, Tell them how much weight and they should be able to tell you how much it will cost (When I've sent parcels they charge you the exact amount for the shipping there and then). It may cost a bit more for first class/recorded delivery but I would suggest that it will prevent damages/losses (and insurance would be a good idea too). Another option is to use something like UPS for the delivery.
Aye those are the obvious choices; I'm just wondering if there's a more cunning and cheaper way, since they are indeed very heavy, and me being the recipient, not the one having to pay for the postage up front.
easy as pie. Have your mom write you as the sender of the parcel, someone else as the receiver and "forget" the stamps. Then leave it lying around in a post office :D
