Save the money
I bought it on release; I say wait till its $5 or under. It's a great game, but pretty short imo.
I think I got it for $10, and it was definitely worth it at that price.
Just got it. 7.49 seems like a good price.
As a fan of both the mod and remix, I believe $7.49 is a good deal for this game. It's short but offers lots of replayability, as a well as sharp writing and excellent voice acting.
$7.50 is still too much. Even if you replay it to every possible ending, it comes down to about an hour of content. If money is not that big of a deal to you, then go ahead, but otherwise, I wouldn't really suggest this.
I'll just wait until it's 5-6$
more like 8 or so hours of exploration, not at all an hour, not even close it's short but not that short
8 hours!? Were you playing in slow motion or did I miss a fuckton of content?
8 hours!? Were you playing in slow motion or did I miss a fuckton of content?
what did you do? look for two endings and stop playing? did you even learn anything about narrative tropes?
Most of the endings require you to go through the same routines time and time again, which sure it helps to pad the time, but it's not very fun to do the same 10 minutes of game play over and over just to see something different
what did you do? look for two endings and stop playing? did you even learn anything about narrative tropes?
I got at least 7 endings if I recalled correctly.
you shouldn't really base this game on how long it takes to get to the end since a lot of it is based on player exploration. that said, if you're the kind of person who just goes straight to the end and/or hate exploring, then you should probably not get this game.
the way that you'll know if you'll like this game: if you liked the first portal a lot. it's basically the exact same game in theme, it's entirely about the interaction with the disembodied voice that's sarcastic as all hell. if you enjoy that, you'll enjoy this. i liked the game a lot. that said however, there's a certain...bell curve to it. as you start to explore and try to find all the possible endings, the first couple of times it'll be great. it starts to get annoying towards the end because it takes 10 minutes or so just to get to the part where you'll make a divergent choice, so you end up rushing through the parts you've already seen 3 or 4 or 5 times just to get to the new material. i get why it's there, but it's sorta a bummer
Or just download the demo and know its about 2-5 hours of that sort of thing depending on how deep you want to screw around with it
more like 8 or so hours of exploration, not at all an hour, not even close it's short but not that short
8 hours? You're allowed to like The Stanley Parable but that is absurd.
Man the [sp]Countdown ending[/sp] was done so well in this one.
The confusion ending was the best ending. Hands down please.
just watch it on youtube, save yourself the trouble of holding down W
Or just download the demo and know its about 2-5 hours of that sort of thing depending on how deep you want to screw around with it
I enjoyed the game, but i was disappointed that the demo and some of the trailers gave the impression there would be an actual story, when there wasn't.
more like 8 or so hours of exploration, not at all an hour, not even close it's short but not that short
i got basically everything in the game and it just took ~2-3
just watch it on youtube, save yourself the trouble of holding down W
Because watching it on Youtube is the same as playing it. Why are people giving this shit because it's a few hours long. I'd rather a short game thats a few good hours than a long game where i quit after a few hours because it's like everything else.
