Firefox - Typed words appearing very slowly/lagging

Hi guys, as I manically type this thread I am watching the words appear slower than my tea brews.

I have tried disabling all add-on's, restarting in safe mode, I lowered the intervals between session back-ups and I cannot think of anything else to do. It is not my connection (Gigabit Ethernet Direct) and FF's memory consumption is absolutely normal (60+ tabs 200mb RAM/ 0.2% CPU)

Anyone got any ideas?

Also I have just closed most tabs (9 left) and the problem remains.

Ok for some reason it began happening on everrything, then just stopped. No reason, wasn't even doing anything defferently.
