Earlier this year I was able to upgrade my download speed from 1.5Mbps to 10Mpbs for free (it felt great), but my upload speed hasn't changed. I've tried doing some live streaming through twitch but playing online games is impossible. Either the stream quality turns out like crap or my game lags like hell. With this new Steam Broadcasting, I'd like to be able to boost my upload rate so I can actually stream games. So my question is, can my ISP increase my upload rate? And can they do it for free?
They'd have the capabilities to, but whether they actually will is the question. I wouldn't quite think so.
You're posting a question that is hard for us to answer with practically no information (who even is your ISP?) on a public forum, when you could simply contact your ISP and get a straight-forward and accurate response directly from the horse's mouth.
