You really only need a plug adapter, as most modern power supplies (including those on laptops) can auto-switch voltages.
I've visited family in Germany a couple times and brought a laptop. Like Prismatex said, you only need a plug adapter, this was on an old 2002 laptop so I'm sure if you have a newer one it will work.
so I don't need the 3rd hole ( power grid hole ) [editline]11:39PM[/editline]
I've visited family in Germany a couple times and brought a laptop. Your plug socket looks scared. But yer you should only need a plug adapter which are pretty cheap to buy.
'.' Also a picture of the laptop doesn't tell us what it is.
The third hole is the ground.
but I don't need Ac convter to support it right ?
No.

I hate the non-UK plugs, they feel so flimsy and fragile.

We can hope for a universal wall socket in the future. Until then an adapter is enough.
There won't be a universal wall socket. People are too hard-arsed about that stuff. "Comin' over here, takin' our money takin' our jobs. Convertin' our sockets.

Just use the one you have, shove it in as hard as you can.
just solder some wires on it and stick them in the plug
