Maybe not photorealism, but still incredible
Maybe not photorealism, but still incredible
I think he means photorealism as a graphical style, IE, trying to look like real life instead of the increasingly popular stylisation of games like Borderlands and Team Fortress 2 and Walking Dead and such. [editline]7th June 2013[/editline] Also, just looked closely at the new screenshots. Is that a-... Brazilian flag? gieb mag plz hue hue hue i report u
Now if only the AI was worth anything...
Now if only the AI was worth anything...
Last time I checked, the AI was really good
Now if only the AI was worth anything...
This game has fantastic AI, advanced and pretty smart. They try to flank you, out maneuver you. They take cover and attack from multiple sides. If they spot you they start sweeping around that spot and the area searching for you and if they see you they shoot you. Remember this AI is completely dynamic and not hard-coded walk/cover waypoints like in most games.
All I want from Arma 3 is less clunky gameplay.
Now if only the AI was worth anything...
The AI in ARMA3 is quite a lot better from the one that was in ARMA2 as far as I can see, better response in close quarters and smarter movement. Almost feels like the ARMA->ARMA2 move.

All those fancy things. Yet we can't toy with them in the alpha yet :( The game is awesome though. It'd be great if it didn't crash when I rejoin a game...
All I want from Arma 3 is less clunky gameplay.
What? Have you played ArmA 3 yet? ArmA 3 is a million times less clunky than ArmA 2.
No that's the flag of whatever the independent state is you're helping out.
Yeah I don't know what flag that is, if any, but it most closely resembles the Bahamas, though it isn't And I don't think they're going to make an appearance in Arma 3, nope
I haven't been keeping up with the news lately, but are there any plans for DayZ mode in arma 3?
ARMA 3 is real nice and all but performance has decreased since alpha's release for me. Weird
This is how a PC-only game looks like when there's no console version to care about.
This is how a PC-only game looks like when there's no console version to care about.
I played ArmAII for 3 years EVERY weekend, shit never gets boring with all of the community content made every single day.
I really want to get the alpha soon, I love just messing around in ARMA 2 scenarios

And what about those drivers? And a total inability to function in close quarters?

We can't change it. https://dev-heaven.net/projects/a3-cit
I haven't been keeping up with the news lately, but are there any plans for DayZ mode in arma 3?
DayZ has been ported to ArmA 3, but it's rather buggy. http://zoombiesmod.com/index.php
Fuck it, scrap ArmA 3 and just put those fucking choppers into ArmA 2, they look fucking BEAST Like seriously the coolest fictional helicopter ever in the world ever, it's an amalgamation of an Mi-24, Mi-28 and a KA-50
All I want from Arma 3 is less clunky gameplay.
Arma 3 is so fluid it is like the Call of Duty of Arma.
I get a lot of performance issues on Arma 3. What I have played of it is fun though.
Glad I pre-ordered
it looks ok
ARMA 3 is real nice and all but performance has decreased since alpha's release for me. Weird
For me it's the complete opposite. I got horrible fps on low settings when it was released but now i can play it on medium/high with good fps
I just hope they add Farsi voice acting soon. It was so much fun to hear the ai speak Farsi in Battlefield 3 since it is my native language.
Yeah I don't know what flag that is, if any, but it most closely resembles the Bahamas, though it isn't And I don't think they're going to make an appearance in Arma 3, nope

According to some dudes on the BI forums there were some texture files with this flag, which looks similar: Probably is the flag of the independant state which you're helping out or whatever. They're also saying that the flag is removed in the newer developement version and that the one you see in the picture is probably an updated version of the flag on the texture.
It'd be even better if it was properly optimized and a little less clunky. Although it's a lot better than the clunkiness in Arma 2, there's still room for improvement.
