Just when I was planning on pre-ordering on the Windows Store, this happens.

Still, it would be nice to hear how Square-enix plans to facilitate the non-Steam versions for modding, since they also announced it for EA origin (I guess the easy way out would be to sell Steam keys through EA's client)
