I'm not anywhere near my router,it's in the next room.
If it's only in the next room run a LAN cable around the door.
Never ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever use a wireless connection for gaming, especially with a shitty little USB dongle.
I suggest a LAN cable. You can buy quite long ones at local electronics and computer stores, like RadioShack - I have a really long cable running down two flights of stairs to connect my xbox directly to my router, and I think you'll find a cable that can connect you to a router in the next room.

I don't understand why everyone says this. I realise wired connections are more stable and faster, but my USB dongle cost £20, and it's fine. I still get low pings and games play smoothly.
I have a wireless N router + Laptop, and I STILL use a cable. With USB Dongles and Wireless its less reliable, and it can easily be interrupted by something else.
I have to use wireless as my Router is downstairs, and across the other side of the house to my PC. so no Ethernet cable I can be bothered to pay for is going to reach that. And my parents will bitch about the cable :frown:
I'd love to be back on LAN, this Belkin shit that they claim is a adapter craps out half the time. Forcing me to unplug it for a bit.
