we live in an age where mobile games get pc ports half a year after their release on cell phones. truly, this is the future.
Didn't they say this would never come to consoles/PC? And that they are focusing primarily on mobile gaming? I don't get you Square Enix...

The book was pretty nice. Get that instead.
Deus Ex: The Fall is set in 2027– a golden era
So that's why everything is brown/yellow.
Just be grateful that they decided to put this on the PC.
Did it not sell well enough on the mobiles?
It actually made it to the Top 10 on the Apple charts, and on Android it's selling alright.. While a normal person would think that would be great, it's never enough for Square.
What a shame. At least you get Deus ex GOTY with it.
How long does it last? I don't think it's worth my 10$, since with the same cash I bought HR + DLC + director's cut.
Since the Deus Ex Megathread is practically on its death bed I feel the need to repost this so people know how bullshit it is: They won't fix it because developers want to treat android like iPhone where this only one vender and one size fits all. This happens all the time. I wonder how long it'll be before they finally fix their shit or Google forcibly pulls their stuff, if ever.
Ok I've read around that it's 6 hours long. I'll pick it up on the next sale.
A deus ex game being six hours long? That's almost as long as the DLC for HR. What a joke. You can get at least 30 hours out of Human Revolution. Easily.

I won't be buying this, I hate this whole 'make it for mobile' and port it to PC shit.
I won't be buying this, I hate this whole 'make it for mobile' and port it to PC shit.
This is only being ported to PC because everyone whined at them for originally making it a mobile exclusive. This wasn't some pre-planned thing to port it on purpose to get at you specifically.
This game had probably the worst ad campaign ever. They teased a new DE game only to reveal it was iPod only game.

I mean come on, just because it was developed for a far weaker system than the PC, doesn't mean it should have less content than a PC game! [editline]25th February 2014[/editline] Like jesus christ it's a cell phone game that's apparently really true to HR aside from the clunky ass touch controls (which are fixed cause now it's on a M+KB) they're bringing over to the PC for 10 bucks and you're all WHINING about it? 6 hours of extra content and an individual story for 10 bucks, that's called an Expansion Pack, you guys used to eat that shit up

They're just being incredible toxic and filled with a stupid amount of nostalgia.
I'm a little torn with this...on one hand, this was an android game, and it is on PC. These kinds of games I'm rather wary about. Plus the false advertising before it was announced tainted my taste for it (I mean come on, it was only said it was a handheld game after a bunch of hype; cant' blame me for feeling disappointed). On the other, I never expected it to be DE:HR2, and for what it's worth the only bad part about the game is the less than intelligent AI and the crappy controls (the latter fixed by being on PC). I'd be interested in buying this at one point in the future, I think.
People are just mad at Eidos Montreal/Square Enix at the moment because they're displeased with the state of the new Thief despite it being a reboot made by completely different developers with completely different intentions, even though the new Thief is probably one of the better stealth games of recent times. While I don't want to get off topic, I must say that while I do think the new Thief is good, the hate for it stems from it not being enough like the original Thief games, and thus only has it's name for brand recognition purposes. Not willing to go over a large debate on it, but that's just my opinion. [editline]25th February 2014[/editline] Also, can I just say how silly it is that two of the screenshots on the Steam Preview thingy are pictures of the controls? I mean, yeah, I get it, it used to be a android game and now it's on PC, I think we can assume it doesn't involve us touching our monitors.
All they did was have a video saying there would be a new Deus Ex.
I personally have no knowledge of the game itself but their ad move was very risky. Deus Ex fans always want more because there's never enough Deus Ex games. First they did this April fools' thing that was fun and all but few people hoped it would turn into something big. Then they hinted another title, people got super excited and it was revealed to be an iOS game. If they first announced an iOS game and then revealed it's DE I'm certain there would be less pissed off people.
