What is your opinion on the man? Do you hate the man and everything the man stands for? Do you hate how the man wants to get into your private life as much as possible with the mere goal of making money? Or do you love the man? Has the man done a lot for you over the years? Would you like to help the man at any chance you get? Who - to you - most represents the man in your opinion? In my opinion, the man is mostly corporations. *Edit* The Man voted me box.
I'm the man!
Who - to you - most represents the man in your opinion? In my opinion, the man is mostly corporations.
I thought 'The Man' was Law Enforcement?
I love men.

The FBI is watching this thread.
Nobody choose the "Stick it the the man" option! They're watching you...They can READ YOUR MIND. Also, most anarchists are douchbags. Don't be a douchbag.
sup
I could be a shady operative for The Man. "Hello, I'm Mister Some Guy. (deep shady voice)"
The man is the leader HAIL THE MAN (Don't hurt me :ohdear:)

I'll try to be ~edgy~ and fight the system. :downs:
The man went dormant since the late 60's but now he's back.
The man went dormant since the late 60's but now he's back.
The man never left us alone.
I love the man! I love men :3:
"the man" is considered to be popular media, government, etc. the things that shape modern society. Also: I've got some advice for you, little buddy before you point your finger, you should know that I'm the man Well I'm the fucking man and you're the man as well So you can point that fucking finger up your ass! Hooker with a penis by tool Maynard James Keenan on the subject of selling out. Also fuck the man!
@fools stop coming in here making some two second shit with your generic "i like men lulz" jokes.
I just made it a tie. :( Someone break it.
I fiscally love the man and socially stick it to him
And the sign says "Long-haired freaky people need not apply."
@fools stop coming in here making some two second shit with your generic "i like men lulz" jokes.
No.
I consider 'The Man' to be the police. Police officers are cool.
What he said. I'd gladly help out law enforcement at any time, as long as I'm not the one they're after.
What he said. I'd gladly help out law enforcement at any time, as long as I'm not the one they're after.
I personally like police. I hate dick cops, though. I can not fucking stand them. You know the "I'm better than you because I'm on the force and you're a punk" cops. I don't care who the fuck you are, you should be respectful. Just because you walk around with a fucking badge and gun, doesn't mean you're better than anyone. Fucking social injustices. Most of the cops I meet and deal with are nice. But there are 1 or 2 dick cops in my town. I hate them. I get along well enough with the other cops. The funny thing is they all know me by name.
Who - to you - most represents the man in your opinion? In my opinion, the man is mostly corporations.
I didn't know corporations could make laws. Influence, maybe... I think your misgivings are misdirected.
Stick it in the man :smug:
I mostly don't see law enforcement as the man, believe it or not. Corporations, because they are careless individuals (yes corporations have the same rights as a single human) who do not care for your well-being, future or just plain feelings. Moep.

Moep.
Here's where your theory is wrong. Corporations sell stuff. People buy stuff. If you alienate your customers, they won't buy your stuff. And you go out of business. It is much smarter for a business to pander to the whims of customers than to tell them to fuck off. If I start a clothing store, and I shout insults at people when they walk in the door, they'll leave and not buy my products. Instead, they'll go to somewhere that gives them a better price, or better service, or both. And I will not be able to pay the bills. Same basic concept applies to haggling, especially in a recession. If I'm a car salesman, and I earn commission, I need to sell cars. But intelligent people will not take a bad deal on a car from me. I may put on a tough front to try to get them to cave, but at the end of the day they can simply leave and I go hungry. So the business and the consumer compromise in order to ensure both go home happy. Corporations and businesses must conform to the wants to consumers in order to survive. If they fail to sustain themselves, they can ask the Gov't for bailout money. Which helps no one. The moral of the story is: vote with your wallet. PS: the only situation where a business truly has control over the lives of the common man is in a socialist or communist system were one has no choice but to go to Government Motors (or whatever) to buy what they need. This is all basic high school economics.
Who da man?

It's turned society into a very selfish one, to a point where... Ugh, well, I really don't want to continue with this particular discussion as I intended this topic to be a more shallow free speech thread on who the man is to you and why?
you know, sometimes you've got to get mad at the man. And right now I'm the man. What are you going to say to me? Cookie for whoever gets this reference.

Don't like it, leave. Hence those hippie commune type places out in the desert. Taken to an illogical and irrational extreme, you get people like Ted Kaczinsky. Moral of the story: do what you want and whatever you need to get by as long as you don't fuck with other people's lives.
