So this has been going on for about 3 weeks now. I've contacted my ISP and they didn't do shit about it. I've restarted my modem and router about 10 times over the past 3 weeks, I've messed with ingame settings and making sure my antivirus isn't doing anything about it but to no luck.
The lag spikes seem to happen about every 10-50 minutes randomly, basically everyone just freezes for a second then the game picks back up and usually I'm dead or my team mates are farther ahead of me. In tf2 and l4d2 and other valve or source related games I'm noticing the "AUTO DISCONNECT IN : 25..." thing but then it ends pretty quickly but still.
I'm noticing it in other games such as minecraft where everyone will just stop for a second then pick back up where they were. During this time I also can't type to them.
So any ideas? This has been driving me insane and It's ruining my online gaming experience.
You wouldn't happen to be on wireless, would you?

Nope.
Okay first off, stop restarting your router. ADSL connections can take weeks to settle down, though usually it only takes 8 days (I'm not kidding, this has happened to me)
Second, check your ports for steam are open, and for the individual games.
Good luck
Also do a pingtest.net and post the results. That will show your actual ping without any port conflicts.
