hey guys I've been needing a computer for awhile now so I've finally started to search for a new one but to no avail.
CPU: Intel Core 2 Quad 2.4Ghz Processor or equivalent
AMD Phenom II X3 Triple-Core 2.8 GHz or greater
RAM: 4 GB (Vista) or 2 GB (XP)
Video: ATI 3850 512 MB or greater
NVIDIA 8800GTS 512 MB or greater
DVD ROM (Physical copy)
Those are the minimum specs I was kind of hoping for. If anybody could help me out that would be great.
my budget is about one grand but im not sure if I would need that much.
For 1k you can probably afford Core i7 or an am3 quad.

1k can barely get you an i7. i couldnt do it on mine without super suck somewhere else in the build
Yeah, an AMD quad sounds about right, do you need anything else, like a moniter, mouse, keyboard, or speakers? And you could get some nice stuff for 1000, much better than your minimum.

It doesn't seem to bad although I would be buying an NVIDIA GeForce 9800 GT and a new power supply.

Well I was hoping to have bought it by the end of summer. So in the next month or two.
Then wait until then; prices will have changed by then.
