Good guy Bohemia knows the mod is making them a success and supports it.
DayZ should set example for developers that having mod support not only makes their games live longer but bring profits too, but developers never change, they will go though so much complicated lists of things to squeeze out every last coin out of customer, some developers simply work and think like traveling agents who try to sell you their cheap products at your doorstep without realizing we don't want their garbage.
Yea but it fucks up on normal servers.
Oh god I hope the "additional AI improvements" means no more retarded zig-zagging kenyan zombies.
Aside from zombies phasing through walls, their stupid zig zag running is what makes fighting them un-fun.

Except it's made by a bohemia dev so they're doing it themselves.

Just went through the patchnotes, they seem to have fixed some spotting, tracking and targeting bugs but other then that there are no pathfinding fixes.

It's because there was never meant to be melee in ARMA

That really shouldn't change anything about the pathfinding. When allies/enemies in regular ARMA run from cover to cover, or to any other points they need to get to, do they do it in a retarded, zig zagging manner?
No.

Yeah they do. Shoot a platoon of soldiers a kilometer away with a sniper rifle and they'll run side to side it's just less apparent because it's far away.

Wasnt meant to be an attack comment
The only time you see news about ArmA2 is when it concerns DayZ.
The only time you see news about ArmA2 is when it concerns DayZ.
which is a bit disappointing since arma 2 is such a great game on it's own. half the stuff shacktac does should make arma 2 seem worthy of more than just dayz news.
Maybe I should finally get that ARMA2 dlc for DayZ now that it's getting some polish!
And whenever ARMA 3 gets mentioned its due to speculation of how good DayZ would be in it.
For anyone that doesn't actually have dayz, this update makes it run a lot faster than it did before. Its a huge performance increase, especially in the large cities (which used to lag like crap, and now merely run slightly badly)

Rocket isn't a Bohemia dev.
He was contracted for work on ARMA 3 and that's it, not technically hired.
[editline]e[/editline]
Rocket said this himself on the DayZ forums, if you're actually that uninformed.
