• Who wants to play DH or DW over Skype?

I posted this in another thread, but then I figured I'd likely get a more relevant audience who weren't committed to playing Dungeons and Dragons and who'd have time for this instead. I realise this craze was bought about by an influx of D&D related pictures in the LMAO thread, but I've never run D&D, so I figured I'd offer my services to run a more, I feel, relevant game, set in Games Workshops Warhammer 40,000 universe. But Cyclocius, what is DH and DW? DH is Dark Heresy, an investigation based game in which the players form a band of Inquisitorial agents, an organisation that spans the galaxy spanning Imperium of Man and is dedicated to protecting it from it's foes, the Alien, the Heretic and the Daemon. It's a low-power game compared to D&D. DW is Deathwatch, a combat orientated game in which players take on the role of a Space Marine Killteam, a group of Marines serving the Deathwatch; that is, the private army of the Alien focussed aspect of the Inquisition. This doesn't however, limit you to fighting gribbly aliens. It's a comparatively high-powered game which may or may not include you being dropped from Space to sort out an Alien infestation and report back the next day. Summary Dark Heresy: Do awesome shit, escape missing 2 players with your entrails between your legs. Possibly lose your mind. [img_thumb]http://1d4chan.org/images/e/ec/DH_flow.jpg[/img_thumb] Deathwatch: Do awesome shit, shed manly tears when a team-mate dies. How would I apply? PM me to show interest, say which system you'd rather use, Deathwatch or Dark Heresy. I'll try and maintain a limit of 5 players tops as after that everything will get a bit clustered and confusing. Hope to hear from those interested soon, first come first serve basis etc, previous RPG experience isn't required but existing knowledge of 40k is a bonus.
Simple, this game system (d100) only uses one die type whereas D&D and the others use multiple types of dice such as d20's, d4's and d6's.
I'd love to play! Let me just PM you, sec.
Sounds interesting enough. What timezone are you in, cyclosius?
I'm GMT.
heck this could be fun. suggest using http://www.random.org/ for the dice, as you can have varying numbers between X and X. 1 to 100 being deafult.

EDIT: When are you likely to start this? Busy most this week, but start Easter break at the end of it.
We've room for 2 more players, PM me your Skype name if you're interested! 1 more! Done! Sorry to everyone who didn't make it.
So far we have a feral born imperial guardsman (read, semi evolved madman) 2 Techpriests. one of which has lost his eyes. and 2 psykers, one with a revolver and looks like a fucking ghast.
This. Cannot. Go. Badly.
Adventuuureeee! Also, my tech priest has dark skin and blue eyes. What a fitting combo!
Oh God, I'm to late. I expect logs after each session.
Deal, I intend to post a thread in GiP chronicling the cell's misadventures.
Also, if someone drops, I call dibs on his spot.
This is gonna be too awesome
For those who missed the opportunity to join the session, it has been written up and features media accurately detailing just how the Psyker got concussed; all here: http://www.facepunch.com/threads/1072255-Facepunch-plays-Dark-Heresy
This is the best party ever. We're just so disfunctional. :v:
