Alright, here are the current parts I have. i7-920 (got it for $180): http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819115202 Corsair CMPSU-750TX: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817139006 Western Digital Caviar Black 1 TB: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822136284 ASUS DVD Burner: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16827135204 and I have a keyboard, mouse, and windows 7. I'd like some opinions on the rest of the build and what I should get. So essentially, I'm looking for a Motherboard, Case, GPU, and RAM all for anywhere around 600-800.
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813157163 This mobo RAM+GPU: http://www.newegg.com/Product/ComboDealDetails.aspx?ItemList=Combo.361547 Case and cheaper PSU (Use the rebate): http://www.newegg.com/Product/ComboDealDetails.aspx?ItemList=Combo.362542 It should fit in your budget. I have the PSU, it does great.
what will it be used for? Gaming? if so i would get a i5 so you can get a slightly better GPU or something? And get a p55 motherboard.. a 5850/5870 4gb ram. Go for that case + psu combo
Gaming, for the most part. By the way, when I mean the current parts I have, I mean I literally have them in my hands. The budget is just for the additional parts. If necessary, I'm willing to go up more in my budget.
It'd be hard to have all those parts in your hands and type at the same time. :downs:
I say for case, a Haf 922 or 932 those are quite awesome, for the GPU, get a 5850 or 5870 and get 4gb gskill ddr3 ram. Im not very sure what mobo you should get, I would recommend the X58s, but those are a tad expensive.
I was thinking of getting an Antec 1200, 2x MSI R5770 Hawks, MSI X58 Pro-E, and G.Skill DDR3 6GB @ 1600. http://secure.newegg.com/WishList/PublicWishDetail.aspx?WishListNumber=18340628
I was thinking of getting an Antec 1200, 2x MSI R5770 Hawks, MSI X58 Pro-E, and G.Skill DDR3 6GB @ 1600. http://secure.newegg.com/WishList/PublicWishDetail.aspx?WishListNumber=18340628
Those are some expensive 5770s. If your dead set on getting cfx 5770s then buy Powercolor's for $25 cheaper apiece. They overclock just as much, and run just as well. ATI's new cards run very cool, and those extra fans will only help a little bit. Although in terms of a graphics card, I'd suggest just getting a single 5850 and then cfxing at a later point with another 5850 or 5870. The links Kiwi has up at the top of the thread are a great deal for the 5850 and memory. Recommending this motherboard over that MSI:http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813128423 Note: It does support 1600mhz and 1800mhz memory, it's just not listed.
