Could just not own a Twitter account, it's not like you're really missing out on anything by not having one.
"Hey I have a great idea lets put this guy's life in danger for his opinions!"
Hope he gets attempted murder charges tbh.
This would be laughable at best except for the part where he actually caused the guy harm, which tips this decidedly in the "go fuck yourself and enjoy your fucking jail time cuntlick" territory.
Some background on why people are out for the writer's blood in the article would be an improvement though, since it seems it was this guy and an assload of others that were doing it.

It's almost like people shouldn't have a means to communicate with others, especially considering how big a social platform Twitter is. It's very useful for instance as a means to get word of mouth out.

There's a reasonable expectation that when using Twitter or any other online service, you won't get targeted by people trying to give you a seizure and potentially kill you.

so a successful journalist with 319,000+ followers should just shut down his account because someone attempted to kill him via the internet? somehow this is his responsibility to prevent this behavior?

Yeah man, infact, if you have a medical disorder, just sit at home in a locked room with no lights on, no computer, no nothing. This way you're just fine.
You know what I mean? Why even live at that point if you have a medical disorder that you can't physically do anything about? Someone might ~be a dickhead~ or something.
