I recently got a new graphics card to replace my old NVIDIA GeForce 8600 GT [which no longer works]. But, now my computer often shuts itself down completely while I play games, namely the Fallen Earth beta. Right now I've got the casing off and have a fan running on the computer, pretty much the most I can do for now. I noticed that when the computer shut down while I was trying Fallen Earth, only the area where the video card feels warm. I don't really know much about how computers work, but could my card have a faulty cooling system or something like that?

Try getting nTune and see if it can control the fan on it. My 8800's fan defaults to 37%, but turning it up makes it idle and run at very good temps.
What brand and how many watts is your power supply?

Tried it, but it says that tuning can only be performed on nForce 2 systems and later or something like that when I start it.
Try EVGA Precision or Rivatuner... I'd rather go with EVGA Precision though.
