Everytime I try to open a program it says "This file does not have a program associated with it for performing this action. Create an association in the Set Associations control panel." I know how to get there but then I don't know what to do. Also, every 5 minutes a window pops up saying "Host Process for Windows Services stopped and was closed." Please help!

after you fix this, get Avast, or AVG. both better and free, and spybot S&D

and change mbam.exe to .bat and run it

FUCK! I just tried downloading it and then it says Set associations again!

what, you mean it did that for the .bat file?
if you cant do that, try to system restore (press one of the f buttons on system boot [it'll say which one on the bios screen])
Ok, Ill try that.
make sure to restore to a date when it worked
boot into safe mode with networking and download spybot SD and AVG or avast
uninstall norton
