• I'm looking for an $800 build, but my dad wants to help

So, my dad wants to help build my computer, but his build is pretty meh, it can't run that War Inc. game with higher than 20 FPS, which is pretty bad.. Anyway, dad threw me through a loop because he asked me what I was going to do, so he threw a bunch of products out there that he's used and or heard about, and I don't want to hurt his feelings, what do I do, and what kind of build should I go for?
First off we need to know what type of games you want to play. As well we need to know if there is anything you can reuse like your monitor. And if you can reuse the monitor we need to know the native resolution of it. And finally any extra things that you would want.
I want to get a headset, keyboard, mouse and monitor in that price range too. My current monitor is 1280x1024
You'll be looking at an X4 build if you need all those peripherals.

So it'd be cheaper than I'm looking at?
I think he means the build itself without peripherals would be ~$600.
I mean that, if you were to need those other items, the actual budget of the build would be less.
What I said. :colbert:
