A while ago i randomly got a virus of some sort on my toshiba laptop while browsing the internet after my AV went out of date.
Since then i've gotten a Macbook Pro, and pretty much forgot about the toshiba.
Well now i want to play my Sims games really bad, but i don't want to put all of them on my Mac.
I wanted to do a factory restore on my toshiba, but i do not have the original discs that came with it. (My ex threw all of that away like an idiot.)
Well today was the first day i turned the toshiba on in months. It seems to be normal now. And i am confused.
I've read that viruses can 'hide', so i was wondering:
Would it be okay for me to put my games on the toshiba and the computer be okay, as long as i keep it disconnected from the internet?
Yea your info that can be shared through the internet will be fine but the files on the computer wont since viruses just keep spreading and destroying everything in their path, Just download MSE ( Microsoft security essentials ) and do a full scan and see if its there or not.
