Weird it only happens when I'm afk. Here's the info I get: Problem signature: Problem Event Name: BlueScreen OS Version: 6.1.7600.2.0.0.768.3 Locale ID: 1033 Additional information about the problem: BCCode: 3b BCP1: 00000000C0000005 BCP2: FFFFF88004D26817 BCP3: FFFFF880060A9900 BCP4: 0000000000000000 OS Version: 6_1_7600 Service Pack: 0_0 Product: 768_1 Files that help describe the problem: C:\Windows\Minidump\012711-19266-01.dmp C:\Users\ErrorProxy\AppData\Local\Temp\WER-52650-0.sysdata.xml Now according to this my RAM is faulty: http://social.answers.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/w7repair/thread/baec1141-ae12-4a02-a959-e9eb07ee9912 Is that it? I want to make sure before I buy new RAM.. if that even is the problem.
Your computer gets lonely and wants to kill itself.
If it's a memory cannot be read it usually is the ram, try running a memtest (google it).

Yes you need to put it on something you can boot off.
My friend had the same and it was caused by wrong bios settings (clock)
Ok, it only happens when I'm not using the computer. I was doing my homework using the online textbook and the computer just crashed.. same error as before but a different .dmp file. Shit.. what's going on? [editline]1st February 2011[/editline] By the way, the Blue Screen does not even show up.
Probably RAM issues. Memtest that shit. My one friend had the same problem.
How do I boot up using the burned disc with memtest on it? I don't get that. edit: My RAM sticks are only a year old though.. what would cause them to go haywire?
You don't seem to have the capability to fix the issue yourself. Take the computer to your local computer repair shop.

Right click My Computer>Properties>Advanced tab/Click on Advanced System Settings (Win7 & Vista) Then Advanced tab. Under "Start up and Recovery" click Settings, then under "System Failure" uncheck "Automatically Restart". The Next time your computer BSODs, wright down the stop code and look it up on Microsoft's site, they'll likely have the reason your computer is crashing. The BSOD screen will also tell you what file likely caused the crash.

Disable the screen saver I'm thinking it's corrupt. Long shot there.
lol
I've seen some fucking stupid shit like that before. In my case there was hidden code in a screen saver my sister had that would crash the comp.
Instead of burning memtest and booting it... I ran a Tuneup Utilities chkdsk and everything seems fine again..
chkdsk and memtest are two totally different programs. Just make a bootable usb with memtest. Then test it for several hours.
