I'd say it's worth playing for the vehicle mode, that's actually pretty damn fun.
I feel scammed.
I feel scammed.
Yeah man, that 33 hours on record, totally got scammed.
Wasn't it supposed to be free to play in the first place
Yeah man, that 33 hours on record, totally got scammed.
Had the game since before they split it into the survival and battle royal, theres a lot of unlogged hours because of them fucking up the appids when they split them. You can quit being a smartass. [editline]8th March 2018[/editline]
Wasn't it supposed to be free to play in the first place
Never on the public roadmap from the very start was it intended to go free to play.
Rust is next isn't it
Yeah man, that 33 hours on record, totally got scammed.
The game completely changed from what it once was lol
At least you get some compensation if you had it before it went F2P "Gasrunner Hoodie Bloom Survivor T-Shirt Splinter Camo ARV 10 Victory Crates 10,000 Skulls" Was any of this stuff worth it before F2P?
The game completely changed from what it once was lol
Well no shit, it was Early Access.
Well no shit, it was Early Access.
As in the game genre changed, you buy a survival game and then they turn it into a battle royale game and that's cool? Sick one.
As in the game genre changed, you buy a survival game and then they turn it into a battle royale game and that's cool? Sick one.
That's why they split it into two games.
I remember when this was already the plan and not a last ditch effort to keep the game from dying while PUBG and Fortnite rocketed up the charts. Maybe if they hadn't gone from F2P, to paid with microtransactions, to "not only do you have to pay but we're splitting the game into two and you have to pay for both," to "oh fuck nobody gives a shit about our game because we abandoned the zombie part and there's two other games that do what we do that are more popular, quick sell it for $5 and put it in the Humble Monthly and then make it F2P when that fails" this wouldn't seem so laughable and pathetic to me.
Yeah man, that 33 hours on record, totally got scammed.
Well first it was a DayZ clone. Then it added LMS gamemode. Then it split into 2 games. Now it's F2P. I'd say I was scammed.
That's why they split it into two games.
How does that make it okay, they even changed survive to a trashy base raiding game so now you got 2 games that you're scammed out of instead of 1?
That's why they split it into two games.
And abandoned the original, seriously its still using the original map, original GUI and has all the bugs from early access that were fixed on the BR branch.
And abandoned the original, seriously its still using the original map, original GUI and has all the bugs from early access that were fixed on the BR branch.
Isn't it also titled "Just Survive"? A title that clearly had a lot of thought put into it and was totally not off the top of someone's head because they were separating from the BR mode?
I remember H1Z1, at its conception, was going to be F2P and anyone paying for early access was just supporting the process. Now we have a shit battle royale gamemode taking its place with the original buried? Alas..
Let's not forget that Just Survive was apparently dedicated to Star Wars Galaxies fans. Probably due to how you have to gather materials and build things yourself, even though that is standard survival gameplay.
What a trash game, started out as something solid besides the PS2 graphics and constant lag and by the end it's turned into a TF2-Hunger Games mix with a side of minecraft. It deserved to die.
And abandoned the original, seriously its still using the original map, original GUI and has all the bugs from early access that were fixed on the BR branch.
Fair enough, given the number of changes made to it that's understandable, I felt the same way with Evolve when that went Free to Play and removed Evacuation Mode and instead made it some faster paced arena shite that made the Trapper useless.
Never on the public roadmap from the very start was it intended to go free to play.
I distinctly remember Smedley when he first announced the game stating the plan was to charge for EA but switch to F2P on release. Of course Smed said a lot of things which he quickly backtracked on, but it was said nonetheless.
I feel really bad now for my friend who bought me this a few weeks ago.
As well as all the stuff about changing genres and all that, what makes it even worse is that they decided to have is as the headline game for a Humble Monthly Bundle only 3 months ago.
