I've never heard a good thing about the lens from people I've talked to. The field of view is tiny from what I understand.

The field of view is tiny from what I understand.[/QUOTE] Speaking as someone who's been to AWE and viewed virtually all the competition it's by far the most comprehensive augmented reality device on the market and it's leagues ahead of the companies that have built their entire businesses on it. Yes, the FOV is small and improvements would be great, but unlike VR lacking a wide FOV doesn't make you feel like you're looking through a curtain in a dark room. There's currently nothing on the market that compares to it in any serious way, so whatever its shortfalls it's the best we have. Apple's AR library is pretty incredible for phone stuff but one of the most important use cases for AR in industry right now is remote expert support and depending on the situation that either works poorly or not at all with phones. Having both hands free can be pretty important and it's way more useful than you'd probably think having someone able to draw holograms through skype onto complex equipment you're working on.
