The cutscenes in any of the R&C games are pretty brilliant, but like with all 1-2 minute sketches linking together a story... I'm not sure if a feature-length movie is going to work.
As long as it's based on the first game.
I am so hyped for this, Ratchet and Clank is probably my favourite game series ever so I hope they do a good job.

On a serious note, this looks promising. I wish we'd have gotten a PC because I loved playing Ratchet on the PS2 and I haven't played any since the last one of PS2. I'm a little behind, but I still love the series.
Hopefully it's slightly more mature than most animated movies.

I never properly played this game. I had a little demo-disc for the PS2 with various demos of games like Tekken 4, Test Drive (I think?) and Ratchet & Clank. I wanna play it though. I've only really heard good things about it.

Ratchet and clank was a terrible franchise and doesnt even deserve a movie.
Now this game right here definitely deserves its own movie.

Tools of Destruction was good and Crack in Time was great. Hell, even Deadlocked/Gladiator was pretty fun.

It's only the same people who animated that working on this. Not the same creative team.
They overplayed the breaking of the 4th wall in the trailer, but it sound neat.

Pretty sure that was just a poor attempt at being funny, not actually serious.
Rachet and Clank stands among the top with Jak and Dexter as best duo game series I've ever played.
I wonder if the Japanese version will still have "bushy eyebrow" Ratchet.
At worst, this will be an entertaining clusterfuck.
