So anyway, I have a question about getting unbanned from a website. I won't mention the website just in case it's against the rules (I didn't read them really) but it's a website for diablo 2 trading and such. Anyway, I was banned from the website before and I was able to make a new account by switching IPs and signing up again. The second time, however, I switched my IPs and made a new account and it was banned within an hour. I didn't even post or do anything other than sign up. I didn't use a temporary email address so I don't think it's that. I tried changing my IP, changing my MAC address, and even changing DNS servers in case that would somehow fix it. I also cleared my cookies and everything else. Does anyone have any ideas? Also, if discussing this stuff is against the rules I apologize and feel free to rip me a new one.
It's not against the rules, but maybe you should be more careful and not get IP banned in the first place. Is your name really obvious on the forums or do you change it to something unrecognizable?

I was private messaging a different user a picture of someone else. The second I sent the message, I was banned. And yes, I used a completely new name.
What was the name, that may help us. If you used something derogatory it would be fairly obvious.

On topic: If you got banned from a forum and you've no idea why, why didn't you contact the head admin/webmaster/owner?

Its your public IP. aka The one that the internet uses, not your private. aka 192.1268.***.*** or 10.10.***.***
