I'll be making a new gaming PC and frankly, I'm not good at picking parts so help me out here.Budget is 800-900 dollars converted and I need this PC to run most games for at least 3 years.Gonna go to the tech store on Monday and wanna be prepared with a list.
Run games? What games? And what settings are you aiming for? Are you going to use it for other tasks?
As basis, I suggest an i5/lga1155/4GB/6870(6950?) build.
All games, I seriously play everything new and worthwhile and want my build to run new ones for as long as possible.Apart from gaming I don't do much on the PC apart from browsing and chatting.
PS: dunno if important but I'll run it on a 1920x1080 resolution

Do you need an OS? Is there anything you can reuse?
I got myself an OS.What about the case though, should I just go with what they recommend? I don't think it's a big deal.
I'm guessing OP's not in the United States, because he said 800-900 dollars converted
what's your location
prices vary greatly depending on region
I'm from Bulgaria and prices here seem a shitload higher and that spec might go a bit over the budget.I mainly use this site http://jarcomputers.com/l_en/?m=11 for comparisons but it's kinda bad and misses a lot of items so I'll have to check our guys' catalogues and shit first, I guess
Oh, sorry, shit. You won't be able to get that then. I think you would be able to make an AMD Phenom II x4 based build, though. Might get a 6870 instead, and a cheaper PSU.
Guys, I'm gonna bump this thread since I got a better source. http://www.mostbg.com/most/PriceList.aspx?pageNum=2 has a better pricelist and can be converted to BGN (our currency) I can go up to 1200max but I really don't wanna
