The intro pack is definitely worth the small 13 euro. Loads of fun.
Woah, 50% rating? Yeah, I'm waiting on this... Was almost positive I'd pick this thing up first thing, but...
From what I'm hearing of the PC port, Performance is trash
And always online apparently. Geez.
Woah, 50% rating? Yeah, I'm waiting on this... Was almost positive I'd pick this thing up first thing, but...
Steam "reviews" are garbage, you should not read any of them for ANY game. Nothing but "muh pc is old, fuck you developer" or "[CANCEROUS MEME!]" or "~/~ GOTY SIMULATOR!" It's a fine game with zero problems for up to date rigs (less than 1 year old.) Able to run at max with 60 FPS. Six hours of play, 0 crashes, 0 lag, 1 disconnect from server which after 5 minutes I was able to connect again. Performance is fine so unless I am literally the only living breathing human being on the planet that can run max 60 fps then Steam is doing what Steam does best, crying that their computer is too fucking old to run it and blaming the developer. Pre-ordered 2/11 full experience pack. No regrets, runs great, loads of fun, have already created a contract and played many more. Edit: LOOK HE CAN PLAY THE GAME, BETTER RATE HIM DUMB!
Buggy release, shitty port and denuvo are like the holy trinity of greedy publishers fucking up PC releases. [editline]12th March 2016[/editline] Oh and it's also always online.
I don't like denuvo either but at least their games aren't getting pirated
Blindfiring 60 bucks away on a gamble hoping that the game would run well when the majority of games that run denuvo also happen to run like utter shit is not a gamble I'm willing to make. If a game is that expensive and I have no means of trying to see if it works before I purchase it, I will simply not buy it. Steam refunds take too long to process to be a valid way of doing this, and it doesn't work when buying from GMG or other similar websites. Basically Denuvo right now is a pretty strong sign that you should stay the fuck away from a game at least until performance was fixed and these fixes were announced in later updates.
Game runs like shit, its not a surprise. Not playing this dispite having bought full expierence. Will wait on updates thought. I play a lot of graphical intense games and compared to those, this runs worse and looks worse. Don't get me wrong the game looks beautifull but getting subpar 60fps on 980ti when not even near max settings and on a 3k worth, OC'd system is just shit optimized.
Oh and it's also always online.
There is an offline mode.
I an curious what hardware people who complain about the game running like shit have,I haven't noticed any significant performance issues on my GTX 960 + 4670K @4ghz using the recommendedsettings through Geforce Experience

There's literally no downside to using it. Like what the fuck man it's there for a reason.
Steam refunds haven't taken me more than a few hours to be processed I guess getting the money back in your account takes a while though
It's not always online, but it will kick you out of a game if you lose connection. You can play levels in offline mode however, the saves aren't compatible between the online and offline however, guessing because they don't want fucked stats in offline mode and then having it carrying over to online where it will affect leaderboards. The performance is trash if you play on DX12, use DX11 instead. It runs fantastic on my 980 with max settings. Only major bugs I've seen from my several hours of gameplay is that the audio has a funny way of cutting out with things like background music & Diana's voice, as well as one case where I threw a wrench at a guy sitting down and he started spassming out inside a desk. Pretty fun game though, feels like Blood Money 2. Shame there's only three levels right now, but at least I have the rest to look forward to.
weird, my performance at least in paris is pretty bad despite running on dx11
Either way it performs, I'll just wait for the season to finish. I like to have my full experiences, and we don't know how future episodes are going to turn out. And IIRC Battlefield: Hardline, which also has Denuvo, ran just as good as (patched) Battlefield 4, if not better. So from the looks of it, performance issues in Denuvo-enabled games are the developer's fault, not the DRM's. If you have some legit evidence that backs up your claim then please show me. And as mentioned above, you'll still get your $60 back eventually if you go through Steam refunds as long as you met the requirements. And while it's some time since I filed a refund and it was my first time doing it, the process of it wasn't too bad for me.
tbh though, spending 60 bucks on a game is going to be a complete gamble regardless of Denuvo or optimization
