When setting up my new netbook, I typed the password in incorrectly. I'm trying to recover it using [url=http://www.techrena.net/computers/reset-windows-xp-vista-7-password-usb-pen-drive-cd/]Offline NT Password & Registry Editor.[/url]
However, I cannot get past Step TWO (Step 4 in the tutorial) of the process. It keeps asking me for the registry directory after I try to either accept the default by just hitting enter or trying to type in a few guesses, then displays the input as "EXPAND [CAPITALlower][CAPITALlower]" (for each letter). There are no error messages.
There is only one account on the computer. The password is 20 characters long, upper and lower case, with numbers, so there's no possibility of brute-forcing it.
