Well, Halo 3 [i]did[/i] end on a cliffhanger, so it isn't much of a surprise. On the flipside, they could have just made another novel to continue the story.

Microsoft really needs to port Halo 3 to PC, but only if they include decent modding tools. Halo 3 with official mod support could compete with the Half-Life modding community, me thinks.

Am I the only one who finds the whole Micro$oft thing stupid. I don't know about anyone else, but it always ruins whatever argument someone's trying to make when they do that.

Realistically, the games will be released three years apart, with minor installments in between.
They're not shitting out content for the hell of it, and not giving a fuck about anything.

Halo is "milked" less than CoD.
And in my experience Halo has been far more enjoyable with three or so years between each game compared to CoD's now yearly releases. I can take my time leveling up in multiplayer and not make a mad dash to the final levels in between releases.
What I mean is that I can ENJOY the game over a couple years than just blast through it all in a few weeks/months.

Infinty was a vehicle graveyard. Those midsection ramps always had vehicles launching into the air and hitting each other
That was the best part of the map.
