Possible to mark video in iMovie like in Final Cut?

Me being broke as shit, can't afford FC, so I've been forced to use iMovie despite being very used to the FCP interface after using it for 3 months, and the main thing that I seriously can't edit without is being able to put a marker down on the timeline using `.

Looking through the help menu, I can only find how to lay a beat marker on an audio track, not just anywhere in the timeline, and I wasn't even able to figure out HOW to lay that down.

So is there ANY possible way to do this, or am I stuck editing without it?
