I just missed the recent one. Can't wait for the next one. Or just use some of your money for the upcoming steam sale to get into this closed immediately for $9.99.
I was in closed beta. It's actually quite fun. It plays a bit like diablo when you're raiding another person's castle, and plays a bit like that one game where you create dungeons and traps when you set up your defense. And after your defense has won, you get a shield that prevents anyone who wins from getting any of your loot for a short period of time The best part is you can go into the battlelog and watch a replay of anyone who raided your castle. Each raid is short, 2 minutes or less. So it's a fun time waster without having to clear out 30 minute chunks to play
I'm me, and I endorse this game. Although levels 5-9 are pure hell thanks to a few types of enemies.
I'm loving this at the moment , I'm sucking at attacking pretty hard but as DVH said levels 5-9 are supposed to be horrible. My castle is holding pretty well against attackers though . We should get a group together , I imagine it would be much more fun to loot other peoples castles if i can hear as well as see their pain.
I've been playing a little while, and I decided I'm not going to attack anymore because I'm at level 8, and it's hell getting any higher because people seem to have found some kind of glitch that makes their defenses impossible to beat. I, on the other hand, have a legit castle that's warded off hundreds already, and I've gotten so much gold from failed raiders that I have a dragon, and almost have enough gold to upgrade my castle even more. Also I have 284 crowns so that's a thing.

I found that ranger has an insanely strong first 12 or so levels then falls off quite fast due to not being anywhere near tank and relying entirely on mana for escapes (Which are expensive) Warrior on the other hand is a total pain levelling, but as soon as you get hook/healing strike you can easily do most castles, my warrior is currently 14 and I have been doing castles for 2-3k resources each quite comfortably.
What about the Mage? I'll have the money to buy into the beta and I'm thinking of getting the medium one to play with the Wizard Class. [editline]6th July 2013[/editline] Also someone needs to make a thread for this game in the games subsection.

I use a Ranger. Frankly, if you just get the deeps high on it and use <hawk skill>/caltrops/headshot/penshot it is very good. But again, after you get thrust in the asshole world of player castles a must-have for a Ranger is any purple weapon. And yes, the hook makes a warrior 100x better in pretty much everything. Healing Strike makes it another 100x better. [editline]7th July 2013[/editline]
What about the Mage? Same pretty much goes for everything on a warrior...At higher castles on ranger you actually have to kite stuff to kill it whereas on warrior you can literally charge into any amount of creatures and do huge aoe, killing most of them instantly. I found an orange axe on my warrior at 14 and I have NP even with castles with large amounts of crowns and players defeated.

I've only encountered firesly and the spitter so far but I have found that they are fine to beat once you get the tactics but they take so damn long. I can still have half the clock left in a player dungeon and still can't kill the blasted bosses quick enough to get the 3 stars. I do love the game but I have heard there is some balancing that needs to be done. It seems like the ranger needs a bit of love and the warrior needs to be slapped about a bit with the nerf hammer.
What about the Mage?
I'm not sure if the mage is under NDA and i haven't played him , but i suggest you look around forums a bit before you decide to get him.
Terroraptor is kinda easy as long as you kite him for the 3 bites, then headshot-pew-pew-pew-penshot (for the eggs) him. Then run and try to get pews in when he's out of range. Firesly is much much worse, but you can get him stuck on a life/coin mine and you can just shoot him from behind it while Firesly just noms the mine itself. It's very very cheesy. Also Roboshieldtron II is a bitch, no matter what. BTW, discussing this game on here is an NDA breach, hope for you that your names are different.
Firesly was way easier on ranger than Terroraptor for me. You just kite him in circles, as long as you get the angle right, he will never hit you or be in range to hit you, then you can turn and headshot / get a few hits in each time he decides to breath fire at you.
