PISTOLS: A semiautomatic pistol capable of accepting detachable magazines and any of the following: ▪ a threaded barrel; ▪ a second handgrip; ▪ capacity to accept a detachable magazine at some location outside the pistol grip; ▪ a shroud attached to, or partially or completely encircles, the barrel allowing bearer to fire weapon without burning his/her hand, except for a slide enclosing the barrel; A semiautomatic pistol with a fixed magazine having capacity to accept over 10 rounds. SHOTGUNS: A semiautomatic shotgun having both of the following: ▪ a folding or telescoping stock; ▪ a pistol grip protruding conspicuously beneath the action of the weapon, a thumbhole stock, or a vertical handgrip. The hell kind of semiautomatic rifle would not have a pistol grip? If we're talking modern weapons like an M16 or something, it's stupid. If we're talking an M1 Garand or M14 then I think it's fine. I don't live in CA but this ban seems kind of stupid in my opinion.

Since when do criminals run around with $3k customized assault rifles? They don't. They run around with small 9mm, .380, and .22lr shitty cheap little handguns. The ban is entirely pointless and does nothing to slow down any sort of criminal activity at all. It's just so ignorant, paranoid people can sleep better.

It's a very nice gun, but it would be absolutely impossible to conceal. Pretty much all crimes are committed with knives and unregistered handguns.

Taking away guns only remove the common person's ability to defend themselves from an attacker. This ban is pretty ridiculous, I must say.

I support the idea of limiting what type of firearms people can own, ie no rocket launchers. But I don't support banning weapons because someone gives them an inflammatory name, ie 'assault rifle'. Seriously, having a flash suppressor and detachable magazine makes it an 'assault rifle'? When someone says 'assault rifle' people 'military weapon', 'machine gun', and so on. Having a detachable magazine and flash suppressor does not make that rifle any more dangerous than a rifle without those things. A pistol grip? Are you shitting me? A pistol grip makes a difference? Haha, the stupid runs deep.
