• Google Chrome hangs when starting a new tab

Hey there! I've got some qualms with Chrome which have kept me on Waterfox for a long while. Basically, what happens is this: 1. Start up Chrome or simply start a new tab 2. Type in an address, hit Enter 3. It hangs for up to 15 seconds, in which I am able to click around and do other operations while it seemingly does nothing. 4. It starts connecting with changes in the bottom status bar as if it forgot that I asked it to go somewhere and quickly remembered. 5. Afterwards, I can click around and do stuff like normal until I start a new tab. Solutions on the internet included disabling unnecessary plugins (I did - there was the PDF viewer, Flash plugin, HTML5 DRM thing, and the "Native client" - I disabled Flash), disabling all extensions (I completely reset my profile to no avail), and reinstalling (didn't work). Not sure what else to do, but it's the only thing keeping me from going back. And it's a shame, because Chrome is a nice little program and Google web apps don't always play nice in Firefox. Any advice?
Nah, that didn't work.
