Hey so from my last thread I decided not to get the stuff this is stuff I am getting now unless someone can recommend any better Case : http://www.aria.co.uk/Products/Components/Cases/MIDI+Tower/Cooler+Master++CM-690+Dominator+?productId=28807 PSU : http://www.aria.co.uk/Products/Components/Power+Supplies/500w+%2B/800W+Arianet+Black+HE+Gaming+PSU+?productId=35821 Ram: http://www.aria.co.uk/SuperSpecials/Other+products/OCZ+PC3-12800+Obsidian+4GB+Dual+Channel+Kit?productId=38422 Motherboard: http://www.aria.co.uk/Products/Components/Motherboards/Socket+775+%28Intel%29/XFX+nForce+790i+Ultra+3-Way+SLI+Motherboard+?productId=38413 I will not be needing a CPU or a Graphics card as I have a Intel quad core 2.4ghz and a Palit GTX 260 to use. Budget : £275 Any Suggestions? Edit: Oh and if possible has to be aria.co.uk or overclockers.co.uk
PSU is shit, http://www.overclockers.co.uk/search_results.php?sortby=&groupid=&search=modxstream
so would this power 2 gtx 260s if needed to in the future? http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=CA-037-OC just my current 650W isnt even enough power to power 1 ;(
just my current 650W isnt even enough power to power 1 ;(
thats because you bought an "Arianet" one.
*snip oh god that was a stupid post* ok so besides the PSU is the rest of the parts ok ?
You could save about £15-£20 on the case and get a Antec 300. [editline]01:34PM[/editline] Woah, seems Overclockers have raised the price.
I think that even the 260 core 216 or whatever it's called only needs 500w (good) PSU.
I think that even the 260 core 216 or whatever it's called only needs 500w (good) PSU.
The gtx 260 can easily run on less than that a decent 400 watt would be good.
Don't blow your money a gimmicky 3 way SLI board, go for a P45 board with 1x PCI-16X instead. Then when the GTX 260 eventually needs replacing you just sell it and buy a new card. Why would you opt for SLI, or a board for a future SLI setup, when there are plenty of single cards out there that are perfectly capable on their own? As for the PSU, it would be wise to invest in a decent one this time around; this one for example: http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=CA-111-AN&groupid=701&catid=123&subcat=1088 [editline]12:09AM[/editline] Dumb rating with no explanation? That's sure to help!
