Recently, I've got a new computer and I want to overclock my i5 750, but I don't know how much I can reach. I've bought a 'Hyper 212 plus'. My temperatures on idle are: I also have a 620 watt, real power psu and 4gb ddr3 ram. Oh, and I also have two casefans if that matters, one on top of the case, one at the back. Where can I reach, without killing anything inside my pc, or making it very unstable.
The clocks and vcores you can reach varies from cpu to cpu, even if its the same model
Well, I've got my i5 clocked to 4.0, and it idles around 28-30c. It wasn't hard. I just upped the multiplier to the max, set my BCLK to whatever it was that made it 4.0, upped the voltage a tiny amount to make it stable, and then tweaked my RAM so it was running at 1600.
4GHz for sure with that cooler. Check out my guide here http://www.overclock.net/intel-cpus/605848-i5-i7-lga-1156-overclocking-guide.html if you need one-on-one help just add me on steam
