Hey guys I'm a complete noob with overclocking and I want to overclock my Q6600 from 2.4GHz to 2.8 or 3.0 GHz, I have a good cooling case and I have a good CPU cooler, I have my motherboard drivers, which shows me the core frequency for my CPU, do i just move that to 2.8 GHz or is it more complicated than it seems
What motherboard do you have?
well I got my one all the way up to 3.0ghz but my PC kept blue screening so. I moved it down to 2.8ghz and it works fine.
780i
I have the same processor but my Mobo is the 680i. I've been looking at overclocking too but don't know where to start.
Lol thats weird.I have the nForce 790i Ultra;P^^
